I observed myself at the workplace, and I checked on my expression, facial expression, style of dress and body language, how to modify what to say, type of front encountered, how and the setting affects my presentation of self. I noticed that my behaviour are determined by the nature of where I am significantly.

In the second observation was at a birthday party where I was also keen to check on my expression, facial expression, style of dress and body language, how to modify what to say, type of front encountered, how and the setting affects my presentation of self. I realized that how I present myself at each setting is determined by the nature of the occasion.

What Kinds Of Things Do You Say (Expression Given) In Each Situation?
Two situations in which I will base my observation are at work and a birthday celebration. In these two situations, I get involved in different ways of expression, which fits the environment. When I get to my place of work, I motivate the people am working with, and I encourage the spirit of teamwork. Similarly, I engage my workmates on issues on career development so that I can improve my performance. On the other hand, when I am at a birthday celebration, I give am the impression of an outgoing person and easy to engage in talks (Giacalone, & Rosenfeld, 2013) .
The Expression Given Off Facial Expression, Style of Dress and Body Language
In each situation, I have a different facial expression that meets with what is taking place, for instance, at work I have a confident facial expression while at a birthday celebration I put on a jovial expression. When I am going to work, I put on official clothes to meet the standards while at a birthday party I put on causal cloths. At workplace, I lower my vocal pitch, but at birthday celebration, I speak aloud (Tedeschi, 2013) .
How to Modify What to Say in Each Situation
In each situation, it requires clear modification of what to speak as they have an impact on other people. When I am about to speak within a workplace, I must reflect on what I want to say to ensure that I do not offend anyone. Similarly, at a birthday celebration, it is minimal to contemplate on what to say since people are in a happy mood and they can say what they think (Giacalone, & Rosenfeld, 2013) .
Type of Front Encountered When I Enter Each Situation
In each situation, there are different types of the front I encounter when I enter, for example, within a workplace, I meet people working and submerge in their works so that they can beat deadlines. Additionally, there is no much noise in the workplace and everyone is working on assigned duties. When I get to a birthday celebration, the front I encounter is that of celebration where everyone is happy, and they are singing and dancing. When I get to a birthday celebration, I also come in with a celebration mood (Tedeschi, 2013) .
How the Setting Affects My Presentation of Self
How I present myself in the workplace is very different from how I present myself at a birthday celebration. At the workplace, I give a self-presentation which is required and to prove my ability to deliver. My self-presentation at a birthday celebration is causal, a place where people mingle and enjoy (Giacalone, & Rosenfeld, 2013) .
Who I Am In Each Situation
In each situation, I present myself different since they are an environment, which requires a varied aspect of me. At work, I give an impression of a lady with dignity and ability to deliver as per objectives. When at a party I let myself free, and I can dance and interact with people present at the part (Giacalone, & Rosenfeld, 2013) .
Does Engaging In Impression Management Mean That We Have No Basic, Unchanging Self? If We Bring Different Selves To Different Situations, What Does That Say About The Idea Of A “True Self”?
When I present myself differently in a different situation that does not imply the concept of "true-self" does not apply. There are certain principles and standards that a person sets in life and they are to be protected in any situation (Tedeschi, 2013) . For instance, self-respect and respect for others is a principle, which I have to uphold whether I am in the office of birthday celebration. This implies my true self will remain even when I am in different situations (Giacalone, & Rosenfeld, 2013) .
