What Strengths Do I Bring to Leadership?

In the area of leadership, I believe to bring certain strengths, while the key ones comprise of achiever, relator, learner, ideation, and responsibility. As an achiever, I always strive to attain based on the inside fire that drives me to undertake more and realize more achievements. I believe that my day normally commences at zero while I believe in the need for accomplishing something meaningful to ensure that I feel good concerning myself (Gallup a, 2019) . In being a relator, I mostly drawn to individuals that I am familiar with. I do not shy when coming across new individuals while I prefer turning them into friends, although I gain more pleasure when surrounded by close friends. Generally, I emphasize on establishing close relationships with other individuals. I know many people while at the same time having the ability of dealing with different kinds of individuals (Gallup b, 2019) . However, I ensure to have a limited number of friends with whom I can establish deep relationships.

On the learner strength, I normally focus on learning and improving my skills. I perceive the learning process as vital due to the significant knowledge that I am able to acquire. Shifting from ignorance to competence makes me to feel energized while I become excited when I learn new facts, master vital skills, and start new project. With learning, I am able to boost my confidence in the diverse tasks that I undertake on a daily basis (Gallup c, 2019) . Regarding ideation, I perceive myself to be innovative and oriented toward originality. I am motivated by a freethinking encounter, including discussion groups and brainstorming. I have the natural ability for perceiving issues from distinct perspectives. I assess the present world and dwell on the idea of turning it around to ensure that other individuals would be able to view it from a different and enlightening angle (Gallup d, 2019) . Concerning responsibility, I normally take psychological ownership of the different duties that pursue, irrespective of whether they are broad or minor. I also feel emotional connection to following the tasks until I complete them (Gallup e, 2019) . I ensure to keep my promises while at the same time honoring the promises that I make. I also have the inner drive for making sure that I undertake things in the right manner while employing ethics to ensure that I establish the reputation of serving as a dependable individual.

From my core strengths, I perceive them as relating to my core values and leadership experiences in various ways. In my case, I believe that it is my duty to ensure that I support young individuals since they will serve as the leaders of tomorrow. I employ leadership values, including transparency, humility, and constructive feedback, which assists me in ensuring that I deliver adequate services to the young as well as an effective leader in the work setting. These serve as the core leadership values that drive me to excel in my daily undertakings, I feel the need for exercising transparency in the different tasks that I undertake while avoiding any corrupting situations (Gallup f, 2019) . I ensure to listen to the grievances of other individuals to ensure that I institute solutions to the numerous challenges they face. This way, I am able to serve as an example to the people I lead.

My workplace has also led me to understand leadership values, including Christian commitment, sacrifice, perseverance, and intentionality. I also feel the need for exercising honesty within the workplace to ensure that I acquire the trust of my colleagues. Overall, I believe to be an effective leader mostly because my colleagues agree with my assessment regarding my leadership strengths, including the capacity for going beyond expectations in line with focusing on finding means of making myself and other things better. They describe me as self-motivated, self-driven, over-achiever, and creative. These have led me to believe that I can contribute greatly to the leadership environment.
