“Who moved my cheese?” by Dr. Spencer Johnson is an interesting, weird and funniest piece of work that has had a greater impact on the readers ( Johnson, 2016). The work entails an incredible strategy to deal with work places changes and other significant changes in life. I believe the book can help an individual cope up and face their fears in addition to being strong to meet the diverse reality of change. The question raised is how one will face a change if they are afraid of it. Arguably, a majority of the people seem to be scared change since it often brings about different things and too much difference might be confusing and distracting. It is clear that a potential change might be a blessing or a curse, but this will entirely depend on one’s perspective.
If we view change as positive, it encourages us to move on and forget the past as was the case with “Haw” in the story. When one views the change as a negative result, it might destroy us and trap us on the past as shown by “Hem.” Based on these two instances, I would prefer to be like Haw, an individual who seems to learn from his past mistakes, accept, move on and enjoy life rather than Hem who kept on resisting and denying change because it might result in something worse ( Johnson, 2016). One of the carvings on Haw’s wall reads, “When You Move beyond Your Fear, You Feel Free” which greatly inspired me. However, fear might not be the bad thing since it is part of human life, but it might not be good when one is afraid preventing them from accomplishing anything.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Therefore, the book has equipped more with the knowledge that fear is a challenge beyond my “cheese” and through my accomplishment. Cheese merely represents what I desire in life including relationship, money or even health. The human relationship will entirely depend on the type of cheese they have, but in case one wishes to have a better cheese; then they must move ahead and work harder for it.
