Talking is one of the most unique characteristics of human beings which is not observed in other creatures. There have been numerous studies to study language and development among different communities. It has been argued that that the ability of human beings to acquire language when they are still young is because the ability is innate. It is noteworthy that children can learn any language they are exposed to and demonstrates that apart from being in a position to understand the dynamics as they develop cognitively, they have the innate ability to construct words and communicate (Otto, 2017).
In, language and development, the aspects of nature and nurture are intricately related. Naturally, linguists have discovered that people are born with the ability to talk. However, it is through nurturing that such capacity develops. This is observed through the different environments to which individuals are exposed. For instance, while some speak French, others speak English or Chinese. Other can speak multiple languages. Through nurturing, language is developed and polished (Otto, 2017). Therefore, it would not hold in a constructive argument to regard either of the aspects as superior to the other since they complement each other and language development would not be effective without both of them being in play.

The Formation of Gender
There are various occasions and experiences in my childhood life which have contributed immensely to my personality and gender. I was lucky to be born in a big family with other children of my age, who belonged to my aunt. I was the only boy while my two cousins were girls. When I was about four years, my mother used to buy me toys, and I noticed that they were different from what my cousins received. I owned trucks, toy guns, and balls. I remember that my cousins would second time to feed their dolls and dressing them in bright colors. Although this passed by being regarded as a norm, it was not until recently when a discussion emerged between my mother and me.
She was categorical that it was normal for boys to assume masculine roles when still young. She confessed that when she was a little girl, my grandmother would collect dolls for her and even teach her how to make dresses for them using bright colors with pink being her favorite. Therefore, she was determined to bring up her children in the same way she had been brought up.
She even confided that it would be awkward if I owned the same playthings with my cousins. Nonetheless, this was not a particular behavior to me because the other boys of my age owned similar items and we would play together and sometimes compete in owning the biggest trucks that could maneuver in our imagined terrain.
My personality and gender have revolved around the experiences that I went through childhood. Although this happened almost unconsciously, understanding the aspects of gender had made me realize that the underpinning was laid when I was still a young child. The rationale for this is that I have a spot for masculine tendencies such as appearing physically healthy, owning big cars among others. Interestingly, I consider bright colors to be feminine. However, this should not be construed to portray me as a chauvinist. The justification for this is that gender socially constructed, and one cannot adopt isolated behaviors. Therefore, my personality and gender were shaped during my childhood.
