Volunteering is an important practice in public service because it indicates that one is willing and committed to helping the community achieve better welfare. In terms of public health enhancement, volunteering is important because it supports different services. People feel happier when they give, and volunteering plays the role of giving people self-confidence because as they do well to others and their counterpart community members, they get a better natural sense of achievement. To help in community welfare achievement, I have noted the problem of the rising cases of obesity in my local community. I hope to create awareness on overweight and obesity cases and the influence of lifestyle choices on the community.
The solution to solve this problem in my local community is to create awareness of healthy lifestyles. I will involve other volunteers in spreading word-of-mouth messages across our neighbourhood on the role of healthy living in ensuring that people do not get overweight and obese. A healthy lifestyle will involve such practices as regular physical exercise. We will also encourage people to ensure that they take foods with low sugar content and avoid most of the fast foods that are mostly offered in today’s restaurants. The awareness campaign will also be aimed at informing the public about the disadvantages of living sedentary lifestyles. It will be a chance for the public to be informed about the harmful impacts of allowing people, especially children, to live sedentary lifestyles, where they experience low-level physical exercise.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
The voluntary community awareness campaign will be beneficial because it will spread the message across the overall society. It will not discriminate against the people who will benefit. It will aim at solving a matter of public health concern that many find challenging. The program will be valuable in creating awareness and equipping members of the public with knowledge on the signs, symptoms, and treatment of overweight and obesity cases.
