In the Bible, there are many instances where has identified the promises he has for humanity. In Isaiah 40:31, God says, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Here, God communicates to human beings asking them to show hope and faith in him. As a reward, God will provide his people with a renewed strength and determination to overcome their hurdles and problems in life. He further asks the people to show trust and patience, and he will repay them with the much-needed impetus to move forward and fly like an eagle. Many at times, I have suffered a lack of faith, patience, and trust in the Lord especially when things are not going my way. As such, this verse teaches me that God has a reward for anybody who shows consistent faith, hope, and trust in him by strengthening them further.
God continues to promise his people in the book of James 1:5 that "if any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." In the Bible, Wisdom was regarded as one of the greatest gifts that one would acquire from God. The gift is primarily emphasized in the New Testament where the Holy Spirits provided it to the apostles. God provides simple conditions for anyone who lacks wisdom and would want to have. He promises to give it generously to anybody who simply asks for it through prayer. In my life, I have performed many mistakes and errors due to lack of wisdom and God's guidance. It is, therefore, a challenge for me to always seek for the God-given wisdom to overcome foolishness and irrationality.
