List the Steps Suggested in the Video

Across the video, Lara Hammock from the Marble Jar channe l recognizes that individuals approach research papers differently. When writing a research paper, every individual needs to plan effectively to ensure the paper fits the required pages while covering every section. The first step is to fully understand the instructions by reading through the assignment and making notes on the best way to approach the task ( Hammock, 2018). The second step is to choose a specific topic from a couple of topics listed. After selecting the topic, the next step is to build a basic outline for the paper while considering its instructions. The fourth step is to gather relevant sources and research studies that will be used to complete the paper. Then, one needs to read the researched sources from school databases, Google Scholar, websites, and other web sources.

Hammock's sixth step in writing a research paper is categorizing highlights by outlining the section and mapping quotes to the outline. The seventh step is to decide on mind mapping by selecting the strongest points to base the research on ( Hammock, 2018). Once the most important points are chosen, the next step is to write an outline while considering data, statistics, quote, and arguments. Next is to write a draft based on the outline. The tenth step is to edit the draft while fixing citations, references, sentence structure, and grammar. Next is to find a second reader to go through the paper and provide feedback to make the paper perfect ( Hammock, 2018). The last step is to make final edits and submit the paper to the professor. The above twelve steps are vital and need to be followed when writing a draft paper.
