Many children suffer from traumatic brain injury (TBI), which is acquired brain damage caused by an external physical force. Children with brain injury are at risk, but only if the major brain disorders, which may result in psychopathology. Apart from children, there is a risk of psychopathology which is minimal and not easy to detect. In light of the importance of the brain, most of the findings mentioned may appear to be mild in the long run. Nevertheless, it is important to remember the recuperative powers of the brain, such as stroke as well as other infections.

The author asserts that there are two important mechanisms that assist in the recuperation as well as sprouting of various functioning of the brain. For instance, in sprouting, the undamaged neurons make synaptic contact with neurons, especially beyond the damaged areas. On the other hand, the vicarious functioning is considered as another vital area in the brain that mainly takes over the functioning that is mainly served by the damaged areas. Research also outlines the ameliorating potential of the social environment, which has been underestimated until relatively recently. The author suggests that there is a lack of evidence that brain damage results in a characteristic clinical picture, which can be labeled as a brain-damaged child. There are effects that have been noted to be non-specific as they do in other disturbed populations. There are several studies that are mainly used to address brain injury and mainly drawn from six sources. In this study, the main focus is a traumatic brain injury, especially in children.
