Advanced generalist practice is the social work practice at a more qualified level where the social worker has advanced competencies in social work and can apply these skills on multilevel methods to work independently in highly complex situations that require special skills. Therefore, I believe that advanced generalist practice refers to practicing social work at the master’s levels after developing advanced skills in social work.
The social work code of ethics outlines the ideals that social workers should have. These include service, worth of the person, social justice, dignity, competence, integrity, and importance of human relationships. These ideals influence my work with colleagues and clients by requiring me to be honest, transparent, and just. The social justice ethics inspire me to ensure that all my clients receive justice and live better lives. As for my work with my colleagues, I understand the importance of human relationships, and I try my level best to foster and maintain positive relationships with my colleagues. This approach has made life at my workplace bearable.
