The effectiveness of liberal democracy requires several; legal procedures that monitor legal codes for the legislature and elections campaign regulations. The system is open with a created democratic flaw overweighing the negative efforts of the special interest of the elites and under weighs the importance of society in general ( Top Documentary Films, 2010 ). The government monitors and manages the media companies and airwaves to an extent where the opposition fails to get an equal share and fair hearing. Legal democracy trappings cover regular elections, liberal sounding constitution, and independent courts that cover the real system authoritarianism. 

Liberalism embraces the law with the objective of utilizing legally sanctioned contests, which manages hazards associated with crucial political conflict. Some countries such as Uganda is led by a dictator who has been in power for a relatively long time and undermining the public interest of change. In North Korea, there is a poor political system that has locked out the rule by democracy. The revolution of regimes has creative aggressiveness in most countries due to the growth of civil society and the growth of non-governmental agencies. Human rights violations are still happening in various countries so far. The Senate of the United States' recent trial on the impeachment of the American president explains a flaw in the liberal democracy of America.

Issues with the political system indicate a subtle corruption of the nation’s policies that have caused various countries to have a fall or decline of the entire democratic system. Corrupt legalism entails a situation where the parties that are ruling using democracy fall into autocracy. John Dewey said that the only cure for the ills of democracy is more democracy which is an assumption of western democracy ( Top Documentary Films, 2010 ). A slow howling of the legal system will likely result in citizens having no significant control over the leaders they chose. The political parties do not hold the monopoly of political change but the organizational aspect of the change movement where the process of creating change is within the society ( Top Documentary Films, 2010 ).
