Question 2
A concerto refers to a musical composition that is characterized by its change of characteristics over a long period (Ardley, King, Dowell, & Dunning, 2009) . It is a piece of music that is usually composed of three movements or parts in which there is one solo instrument such as a piano, violin, flute or cello that is accompanied by a concert band or an orchestra. The concerto's two parts, the soloist, and concert band or the orchestra alternate episodes of cooperation, independence, and opposition in creating the music flow. Concerto was not exclusive to the Classical period. By the beginning of the classical period, the concerto grosso had already fallen out of favor. In the Baroque period, the great composers of classical such as Haydn and Mozart opted for the establishment of a three-movement pattern for solo concertos (Ferris, 2009) . Of the composers mentioned above, the most prolific was Mozart, who composed 27 piano concertos, four French horn concertos, six violin concertos, and three flute concertos.

There were some few female composers during the Classical period, and they became very prominent. Women have been historically considered unusual in the music industry. Women's role in the evolution of classical music has always been underappreciated (Plotkin, 2011) . Clara is remembered as a very successful pianist of the nineteenth century. She later came to be recognized as a prominent composer through her highly expressive voice (Plotkin, 2011) . Fanny was also a successful and prominent composer during her time. She was able to sustain a musical life despite facing a considerable discouragement. Her compositions demonstrate an adventurous and energetic nature. Other female composers during the Classical period are Josephine Lang, Louise Reichardt, and Pauline Viardot-Garcia.
