During events, cell phones are distracting as a person is not able to focus on the primary activity. I had attended the movie show in Cinema Village , New York City when my phone rang several times. The theatre patron confiscated my phone and returned it after the performance came to an end. When my phone rang everybody in the theatre looked in the direction where the phone rang. The phone caused disturbance to the rest of the audience members since they could not concentrate on the movie. A large number of people attend popular concerts, people have different personalities, and their reactions are different in cases of distractions. Some reaction may even chaos in the music concerts. Disruptions during such shows make the audience to lose concentration while the musicians do not pass message efficiently. When working on a phone, the person has divided attention as he tries to concentrate on the phone while at the same time follow what the musicians are presenting. Use of a phone during a concert will consecutively reduce the person’s experience. The person may get bored and leave the theatre causing even more disruption.

Classical music concerts will involve the use of instruments such as orchestra called the concert band. The genre of music is known to bring comfort to the audience. Lack of etiquette when classical music when the classical band performs cause loss of harp, and the music do not serve its purpose. During this time the atmosphere in the theatre needs to be very silent with only the sounds from the musicians to relieve stress among the listeners. People should only allow just the unavoidable things like a crying child or a stomach discomfort to disrupt them.
