The issues that relate to the public agenda and democracy are broad in nature. The community is affected by them holistically despite its effect on a particular group. According to the public agenda, democracy may be seen as a form of governance where structures of self-determination and equality are embraced. However, democracy is perceived as a source of these issues that sometimes emerge from political concerns and that in many instances may be resolved through public legislation ( (Seepersad, 2017) ). Democracy influences public agenda through development and dissemination of new and better insights that improve the quality life of every citizen by creating a domain for public engagement and citizen-oriented politics of issues.

In the articles of the declaration, there is the sense in which; all are equal before the law. And in particular article 2 of "The Universal Declaration of Human Rights" enshrines that all people have equal rights and freedom despite the color, sex, race, language, religion, opinion, property, birth or social origin. Issues such as racism and discrimination spark fear and hatred in society. But contrary to the UDHR article 19 which states that "Everybody has the right to speak out his or her opinion and expression without interference and request and impart information via any media in spite of any frontiers" (Seepersad, 2017). Racism and discrimination are some of the concepts of democracy that continue to affect the public agenda destructively if equal opportunity strategies are not implemented and aggressive laws enforced against this vice of inequality ( Post, 2005 ).

The other critical part is the issue that is related to Property and the right to private Property and how it can influence public agenda. The right has proven to be a headache regarding existence and interpretation. The simple reason for this the exclusion from the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. However, article 17 of the UDHR entitles that: " Everybody has the right to possess property as an individual as well as in association with others" ( Post, 2005 ). Today, this is viewed as a devastating threat to equality against the enjoyment of human rights as far as property possession is concerned. We can see that this right if infringed the public agenda will be affected. For that reason, I think that it is right that states implement systems that support communal and collective ownership to avoid the deprivation hence extortion.
