Feedback from writing Activity one will be instrumental in making sure I write a more directional paper. In the first writing activity, my thesis statement was not as specific as it should be. Given that the thesis statement's correction has an impact on the entire paper, I was able to correct the thesis statement by including the significant points that the paper will be based on, and by doing, I also corrected some of the major arguments in the paper. I also used the feedback given to make my essay more persuasive. Initially, my paper was only informative. That was not good enough to persuade my audience to believe in the facts presented in the essay. Most importantly, I was able to edit my first essay to make its position clearer. A presented a more concise counter-argument to my initial position that communication helps in loneliness reduction.
The feedback on Writing Activity 1 will ensure I start writing from an informed point of view in the future. Besides being able to write a strong thesis statement, I will be more concise while targeting a particular audience. Most importantly, I will be able to write in an informative as well as persuasive manner. I hence believe that in the future, my research process will be not only rigorous but will be more directional.
