Relationship between mental health and education of children in pre-K-12 Education

The primary connection between the topic and the curriculum is their focus on the mental health problem among school-going populations. Both the topic and curriculum identify, outline and explain the mental health problem among the people mentioned above. The topic also focuses on the impact of the mental health problem on education and makes recommendations. Consequently, proposals from the subject are aligned with the curriculum, which contains the requirements for mental health education. The significant gap identified in the research is the focus on mindfulness in education. The study by Fuller (2020) claims that there is inadequate research on mindfulness in education, making this element absent in policy and education curriculum. Similarly, monitoring mental health at a national level remains among the leading gaps that need to be filled in future studies (Ramirez, 2018).  I intend to widen my scope of searching for more studies related to the above gaps by exploring additional online libraries beyond ProQuest.
