A collaborative endeavor is when two or more people make an effort to conduct an activity together. After leaving college, I decided to venture into music because of the passion for music I had. Since childhood, I was part of the church choir where many people admired my prowess in playing guitar and encouraged me to pursue a career in music. My parents considered music a wrong career because they wanted me to venture into something else, preferably medicine ( Leach, 2005). All the same, my mother promised to help me do music if that was my passion and talent. While in college I took a degree in music and arts and after three consecutive years, I decided to join the music industry. As a novice in the game, I needed someone to help teach me the basics before endeavoring standing on my own. I met one of my old friends who also had a passion for music and we decided to form a group of two to assist each other grow.
After composing several stanzas of our first music, we visited several studios for the purposes of production. Numerous people encouraged us to soldier on but nobody was willing to help us financially and obtaining a copyright for our music. After several months of trial and error, we managed to produce the first song but was ranked below par. Some people discouraged us proposing that we should try something else more profitable and worth our college education. I and my friend tried to convince people that we could make it given time but nobody was ready to listen to us ( Leach, 2005). The first year of our endeavor failed miserably since all our sponsors disappeared. We faced many challenges, the major one being lack of funds to support out musical projects.

After some time in the darkness, we decided to quit and venture into something else after realizing that we could not make it. We managed to acquire some capital from family and friends and started a production studio of our own where we encouraged upcoming artists to register and produce their music at a cheaper fee compared to other producers because from the experience we had, we understood how difficult it was a new artist in the game. Our studio managed to record several upcoming talents for a short time. Thanks to the support from families and friends, we managed to expand our venture and make it big in the music industry. We realized that young and upcoming artists required support, the kind of support that we never had. Years after ensuring the artists we recorded had prospered, I decide to record some music of my own since the love I had for music was still burning in me. I managed to produce some few songs in collaboration with my friend because at the time the procedure was not difficult. Several years down the line, I have realized many things in life. I learnt that people need motivation if they are to make it in whatever endeavors they venture into ( Leach, 2005). The negative part of the story is that the music industry is not one easy venture to be in. It needs confidence and many other virtues to make it in the game. I learned that perseverance is the one and only way one can achieve something of desire in the lives and without that, it is useless to try and perform anything of value.
