This paper presents a plan for lateral reporting of the upcoming arts, performance and exhibition event scheduled in the next 6 weeks, including its coverage at individual and team level for online. Arts, performance, and exhibition is an annual event where participants including students and invited guests get the opportunity to showcase their paintings, acting, and other forms of art. The content package of the event will include live performances of poetry, music, and spoken word, and art and painting displays. Interviews with performers, artists, and attendees are usual practices at the event, and it would be important to ensure that most of these are captured in the report.
Lateral reporting will allow the event to be reported in a traditional way such as print or broadcast, hence the need to consider the tools and skills needed for expansion of the story. Through lateral reporting, it would be possible to achieve higher levels of information processing through:
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Coordination through rules and processes
Stronger hierarchy that encapsulates exceptions from the norm, and
Clear targets and goals
Individual Plan
The above traditional approaches offer limited information processing capabilities, and an individual plan would require a change in structure to reduce the need for information processing. Therefore, to ensure the story of the event is central to the web site, I would use lateral reporting by adding pictures, videos, and links to notable sites that add to the story. I will include additional information on the profiles of the participating and performing individuals and groups, and their previous work and how it was received by critics and art lovers. The information will be sourced through internet research, except in instances where it would be possible to conduct interviews. To accomplish the task, I would require a PC with internet connection, photo editing software, a quality camera, and a voice recorder for interviews.
Team Plan
A team plan is necessary to increase the capacity for information processing. It implies that a liaison role and team decision making is necessary under the circumstances to facilitate mutual adjustments and eliminate hierarchal referrals. Each team member will be assigned a task to complete to ensure that comprehensive and detailed information is collected. The reporting will be done using pictures, extended video interviews, and web links. The team will be employed to:
Video recordings of interviews with prominent people at the event and performing artists, to obtain comments on their perceptions of the event, including audio interviews on the same
Image 1: Group performing live at the event
Links to previous similar events and how they were ranked would also be including in the reporting
Profiles and background information of participants and performers will be included to aid interactions with attendees who have questions
Photos of exhibitions, performers, and other participants for comparison purposes
Image 2 & 3: Painting exhibitions and painting competition
Comment and discussion forum to allow participants to give their feedback on the event
The nature of the team report requires investment on a lot of resources, thus the team will need to improvise by using phones of members in recording video and audio interviews and taking photos. Each member will need a PC and internet connectivity, including video and photo editing software to ensure simultaneously delivery of the report.
