A growing population in a world challenged by the scarcity of resources makes it hard for every individual to have a good home. For America, especially for the government that seeks to improve citizens' living standards, homelessness is a significant concern. In Neosho, Missouri, homelessness is growing at a high rate subject to population growth facilitating high poverty levels, which echoes the need to handle adversity to ensure every citizen has a decent living.

In Neosho, Missouri, the state of homelessness is exponentially growing subject to the ever-expanding population curtailed by aspects affecting having basic needs. Neosho is the most populous city in Newton County in Missouri that generally serves as an agricultural center with approximately 12054 people as of 2019. The town has the homeless increasing exponentially; for example, there were 258 in January 2015 to 297 a year later (Cooley, 2016). By January 2019, Missouri's overall region had 6179 people experiencing homelessness, which encompasses individuals from Neosho ("Missouri Homelessness Statistics"). People in such deplorable situations lack proper living standards, with some habiting the streets while others moving between temporary shelters or emergency accommodation. The Neosho Missouri homeless population lacks the power to acquire and maintain a stable and safe home environment. Most of them suffer from poverty or lack of income, and other conditions such as natural disasters, which can render an individual incapacitated. Homelessness is a significant concern in Neosho, considering the adversity of lacking healthy homes that can propagate diseases and facilitate crime. The adverse effects explain the renovation of homeless shelters and services for the needy in the region to ensure proper living standards.
