Question 1. What influences do you primarily attribute to your intelligence?

I believe that my intelligence is genetically inherited and partly influenced by culture. Coming from Arabic culture, I am often exposed to Arabic language customs and knowledge from an early age. For example, I was raised with a language style which is characterized by recounting on personal experiences and storytelling. This kind of lifestyle emphasizes and encourages social bonding and lays the foundation for traditional intelligence.

Question 2. How might culture have impacted your perception of intelligence?

Culture impacts an individual's perception of intelligence in several ways. This is because intelligence cannot be understood outside of the cultural structure. One behavior which is regarded as intelligence in one culture may be considered as unintelligent in another culture. Furthermore, people who come from different cultures have different perceptions of intelligence. For example, English fluency is taken by several cultures as a measure of intelligence. While I do not agree with this kind of stereotype, it is mostly acknowledged by several cultures as the basic measure of intelligence.

Question 3. Did your caregivers/parents do anything to help foster the development of your intelligence?

Family is the most important people in my life. My parents have taken care of me and supported me in everything that I do. My parents take a fair time asking me specific knowledge-based questions and expect me to give a correct answer. These knowledge-based questions that my parents often ask me to form part of the questions which are used to measure intelligence. For that reason, I feel comfortable with such questions and score maximum when such questions arise.

Question 4. What is your view of intelligence testing?

In my view, I do not believe in intelligence testing since different people have different strengths and therefore it is not in order to use one specific way to measure intelligence. For example, most cultures in my view mistake English fluency for intelligence and I believe that this may not be a proper way since one may have content but does is not speak English fluently.
