He broke it down into three parts: “(1) God and his Creatures, (2) Man’s Happiness in General and Particular Virtues and Vices as well as (3) Jesus Chris t.”
In the first place, Aquinas conceptualizes the idea from Aristotle when he answered what is happiness is to man, how happiness can be obtained in the man’s life and further went into details to show how it can be unable to find happiness. He said a man could not claim to be happy because he knows God and he is sure of seeing the kingdom of God. For a man to be happy, he needs spiritual happiness which consists of the divine essence that will make him happy. The external factors such as wealth, honor, fame and power contrary to Aquinas, Aristotle described these external factors as real man’s source of happiness.
