The infusion of technology and information globally has seen rapid developments in the last century. Globalization, on its part, has seen increased integration and interaction among people of different origins and locations. The last century can be characterized by increased corporation among countries, a feat that has produced greater socio-economic and political developments. The World Health Organization approximates that an increase in technological knowledge has seen rapid annual growth in over 85 percent of the economies in the world. China remains a robust economy, thanks to technological development, globalization, and development. The productivity of most countries from Asia, American, Africa, and Europe is attributed to technological growth, development, and globalization.

Technology refers to the total sum of all the processes, methods, and skills used in the production of services and goods towards the accomplishment of set goals. Globalization, on its part, entails the process by which the international community, organizations, and businesses influence and engage in worldwide cooperation on a broader scale. On its part, development refers to socio-economic and political changes that have seen countries influence their well-being towards improving the people’s quality of life. Every region across the globe has developed differently. However, one unifying factor that the countries share is that change in the last century is mainly attributed to globalization, development, and technology.

The increasing need to cooperate with other nations on a global scale has been the driving force of knowledge development that has been aimed at changing the quality of life of humanity. Globalization has often been criticized for its negative impacts. However, it has been the sole amplify of the spread of knowledge from one border to another. Through globalization, nations have accessed foreign knowledge, enhanced worldwide competition, and an achievement that has seen the rise of new markets for businesses. Through globalization, businesses have strengthened their resolve to better lives, adopt new ways of processing and innovation.

The positive effect of globalization has been seen in opening up new market frontiers with increased sharing of knowledge, labor, and innovation capacity. Through this, nations have partnered to develop new technologies; resources have been discovered to find lasting solutions to existing challenges. One of the moving aspects of emerging markets is global chains in which companies such as Microsoft have benefited new upcoming businesses towards resolving local problems. The development within and among business entities have helped in the reallocation of innovative activities in various global events that entail global value arrangement.

Globalization and technology have brought immense changes within the socio-economic and political framework. The spread of technology and knowledge is hugely attributed to continued interaction and engagement among different nations across the global stage. Such has played a crucial role in the spread of knowledge and potential across various countries and regions. At the same time, the technological innovation of transit machines and airplanes has contributed significantly to interconnectedness. The adaptation of distant capabilities and knowledge increased the need to acquire and develop in engineering and technological knowledge. More significant and focus on investments such as in science, played a crucial role in enhancing the need to know and go beyond the ordinary. For example, the development and invention of the light bulb greatly inspired the need to further harness electricity for greater use and application in the industrial sector.

New technologies have continued to move development and growth forward. Technologies have sharply reduced the cost of energy, a significant factor in improving business opportunities, and enhancing the quality of life. With increased technological development, firms and innovators have found enabling environments for innovations aimed at improving the quality of life through enhanced interaction and integration. The past one hundred years has seen countries acquire more knowledge and enhanced it by improving their productivity. These have stemmed from reversing engineering, licensing, foreign investment, and greater communication. Property technology has grown to define the 21st century more than any other development. As nations moved closer to digital communication, much of the strategic technology was held by private entities. However, increased knowledge and globalization has seen different regions and countries formulate their technological advancement, a feat that has seen continued and enhanced integration and interaction. The private sector has played a vital role in expanding knowledge, furthering innovation, and keeping tab with every opportunity of development. As countries opened up their business prospects and markets diversified, the private sector has been at the front line of disseminating knowledge, innovation, and technological advancements all over the world. For example, a great deal of dissemination characterized a large part of the last century in which new machinery and inputs were applied to embody new inventions.

The digital age not only brought forth the concept of the “global village” but has also been the central aspect of all technological advancement development of the century. New technology has improved literacy and dedicated knowledge acquisition. Most countries, such as the US and China at the frontline of technological advancement, took advantage of disseminating knowledge for their development and growth. Many nations have also taken advantage of globalization to apply already existing knowledge to advance their growth and development. For instance, although Africa is still far behind regarding technological development, most up-coming and promising countries are tapping into the already adapted knowledge to further their growth and local development. Such is most often noted in trade and transfer of technological agreements. China has taken an aggressive attitude to help most African countries with their technological knowledge in various fields such as transportation, cellular technology, and enhanced trade.

The world has changed a great deal in all fronts and sectors in the past century. From transportation, communication, training, leadership, trade, and integration, the world is in a different trajectory from what it was a hundred years ago. Communication has been made more accessible, cheaper, and more convenient. Through video conferencing, communication has been changed from its initial model of face to face to a digital platform that continues to connect irrespective of their physical location. The internet has not only brought the world at everyone’s fingertips, but it has uniquely reinforced integration and interrelation. Information is readily available at the press of a button; this has enhanced quality training and knowledge acquisition in all learning institutions. The health sector has seen a remarkable development that has seen incurable diseases easily diagnosed by the use of technological inventions. Life has never been this fun as students take online courses and acquire knowledge while linked to education institutions miles away. Through digital integration, global affairs have found new avenues of discussion. The entire world is committed to social concerns such as global warming, thanks to innovations and developments that have kept all countries and regions connected.

The world has changed rapidly within a span of a hundred years, thanks to the ability to discern information and knowledge to advance human development. All innovations and developments in the last century have aimed at improving the human condition and bettering the standards of living. Currently, many developed nations have improved lifespan and reduced death rates, thanks to new improvements in the health sector. Trade has seen the number of millionaires and billionaires increase each year, thanks to continued development, integration, and technology.
