The internet has revolutionized many aspects of human lives. Feminism has, for long, been misperceived by the public as a movement by women aimed at fighting the masculine gender. The public falsely views the movement as antagonistic to men and affront to their dominion in the society. The public still holds that perception despite the widespread of information over the movement through the various media. Overall, the internet has not changed the way the public perceives the feminist movement.

The public has remained unchanged over the years regarding their perception of the feminist movement. Many people falsely believe a feminist movement is a group of modern women who have opted to fight men and subvert culture. Culture promotes masculinity, and thus feminism appears as an affront to the long-preserved culture that defines the identity of people. The conservative manner by which the public perceives gender roles confirms that little has changed concerning the perception of the feminist movement. Overall, the internet has created awareness regarding the feminist movement but has not changed the opinion of the public towards the feminist movement.

Remarkably, the internet has played a pivotal role in advancing the causes of the feminist movement. Ideally, the internet has enabled the movement to create awareness in public regarding its objectives in an attempt to correct the false perception that had dominated the public domain over the years. The internet has also helped to enlighten the public on the reason why it needs support from everyone and women as it has been the norm. For instance, many feminists use the internet in explaining their thoughts and what they feel needs to change to make society balanced. Ultimately, the internet has provided a global platform upon which the feminist movement creates awareness regarding its causes.

In conclusion, the internet revolutionized communication and promoted the causes of the feminist movement but has not changed the perception of the public towards the movement. The public still perceives the movement as an affront to masculinity and culture. As a result, the feminist movement continues to attract negativity, particularly from the masculine gender due to the false perception that accompanies the movement.
