I have been a dedicated and passionate football player in my high school. The team records that I am the first Asian quarterback to participate on the level of varsity football. My skills were acquired through personal efforts and practice. This was all facilitated by various tutorial frames acquired online. I will apply the same diligence in my academics when I secure this admission. I would also hope to actively participate in the sporting events at the University. My educational background has some limitations due to the fact that I immigrated from Asia. This interrupted my education as I had to drop my classes mid way. There was an error in the application to drop the class. As a result, the class instructor issued an F because of the absences in attendance and evaluation. My absence was caused by a requirement to travel back to China which is my country of origin. I had to renew my documents in order to allow me to continue living in the United States legally. My immigration status has now been fully resolved and I do not expect any more problems of this nature. I also intend to re take the failed unit in the coming semester in order to clear the F in my college transcript.
My academic performance has also been limited because of laxity on my part. However, in the recent past, I have understood and embraced the importance of education. I will pursue my economics degree with this in mind. I will strive to acquire excellent grades which will open doors for me in the future. I hope to be able to travel back to my country with a new found realm of knowledge. This will help me to develop my nation and also to improve the social economic status of my family. This course will also help me to develop greater insight into the financial practices in this nation.
The Indiana University admits students from different countries. Each of this students brings a new background with diverse cultures and religions. I wish to join this group of students so that I can expand my social perception. In addition to bringing in my personal contribution and experiences, I also wish to enjoy the American culture. It is my desire to be a part of the traditional American culture that makes the Indiana University the choice institution.
