In my childhood age, I lived with my family, which comprised of my father and mother and my younger sister, Melina. Melina and I used to play together with our friends from the neighborhood. We had developed strong cordial relations as we grew up as if we were walking some steps of friendship up higher. We became best of friends within our family, at school, and all other places where we were together.
One day an unfortunate incident made Melina worried, which affected our friendship for a couple of weeks. On a particular day, our parents had been away from home for work purposes. We had looked forward to having all the time to play after school. However, I had some homework to take care of and could not find time to play outside with my sister and our friends. I chose to remain in the house for the rest of the evening. Afterwards, my sister left for the neighborhood and as was the norm at our home, I had to lock the door from inside after she left. I decided to do my reading assignment from the couch, but unfortunately, I fell asleep. I woke up only to find it was dark and raining. When I opened the door, I found my sister choked in the rain and she did not even utter a word but pushed her way into the house to change.

I knew she was mad, but I never thought she would stoop to revenge. The next day our parents left earlier for work as we were sleeping. We had to wake up, take our breakfast, and catch the bus to school. When I woke up, I was astonished that I was already late and my sister had already left. On the dining table was a note from my sister and addressed to me with the words, “Your Revenge Well Served.” I had to take a cab to school only to learn later that she left me sleeping to revenge.
