Persuasion is very important because it enables people change their attitude towards some things or other people and situations. Media effect is one of the problems that faces persuasion, and is also related to my career or degree. Media can positively and negatively influence a person’s attitude. Certain information on media can confirm an individual’s doubt on a particular issue, while media can also change their view about an issue that has been discussed. Media effect is relates to my field in such a way that, the diverse information on social media platforms will influence my persuasive attempts in the field. The information might change the attitude of the individuals, mislead them, and might also confirm to them about several issues that I discussed with them.
Cultural issues are also a problem to persuasion. There are diversified cultures in the world. Each and every culture has its own acquired and practiced beliefs and traditions. Therefore, culture can prevent one from taking into consideration some stated ideas or be persuaded into acting in a different way, if it is a taboo in their culture. However, culture enables easy persuasion in cases where, the persuading ideas are in line with the individual’s cultural beliefs and practices. In relation to my field, culture can prevent some individuals from accepting some practices and ideas that I might bring up.
