I am very good with electronics, and I get to indulge as a part-time video producer. However, when faced with challenging issues or situations that I cannot comprehend, I get anxious. Despite my talkative nature, my social experience has been very much limited, and one can describe me as being an introvert. However, I have had an opportunity to work as a volunteer in Mexico and China, where I helped in building houses for the less fortunate. I have also had an experience in business, where as a 16-year old I was able to make 10, 000 RMB. I can attribute my social inexperience to my limited language skills that hinder me from interacting effectively with other people. Nevertheless, I have a plan for my life; a plan that involves advancing my career beyond my immediate situation and limitations.
I plan to advance my education beyond the tertiary level and getting into college is a step closer to fulfilling my goal of attaining a master’s degree or even a PhD. In writing this letter, I intend to convince you of my genuine interest in your college and my commitment to studying diligently and attaining the best grades. My interests only tell a small part of the bigger story and through admittance into your college, I will be able to pursue both my educational goals and my co-curricular interests as highlighted above. Most of all, I intend to show my determination in proving my worth by helping those around me improve thus improving the standard of the institution. My experience in Mexico and China as a volunteer and my interests, coupled with the knowledge gained, will enable me to contribute positively to the advancement of the college.
