Discuss the decision of your family to go on a vacation and your destination.

The different sights that you saw during the vacation.
The different noise and music that you experienced.
The food that you ate during the vacation.
Your overall feeling about your vacation.
You can further break it down as to how each dish that you tasted or how the different places that you visited looked like. As you can see, it’s a simple outline that gives your essay a structure and you can add more details to it.
When writing a descriptive essay, you need to follow the general advice given to most writers and that ís, “show don’t tell”. That means you don’t just tell your readers about how you felt, you have to make them feel the same way too about your topic.
