Personality, according to behaviourists, is neither intrinsic nor predetermined. Instead, personality is made up of a set of behaviours that are influenced by external factors like punishment, reward. Personality is a construct that is totally shaped by the environment, which suggests that humans are usually shaped fully by culture, socioeconomic conditions, and upbringing instead of having any sort of basic self that is then impacted by the environment (Ameri, 2015). According to this view, children are born with blank slates and progressively develop individual personalities.
