Students who have immediate, positive and compassionate contacts with their teachers are likely to achieve higher levels of success as compared to those with conflict contacts. Positive teacher-student contacts cultivate a sense of belongingness and promote students to contribute willingly (Rimm-Kaufman & Sandilos, 2018). Student confidence level enhances and succeeds in an environment where they are not limited by fear of the unknown. Also, teachers can help students with motivation and goal setting, and the learners can go to them for advice and direction. Unlike the relationship with students, the relationship between teachers is likely to last longer even though most of the time is spent with students (The Scots College 2018). Positive relationship building between teachers can enhance their practice and make the school a healthier and effective environment for students.

For instance, a student with a strong sense of contact to his/her teacher interacts with the teacher regularly, gets more concrete guidance and praise rather instead of criticism and abuse the teacher (Rimm-Kaufman & Sandilos, 2018). Such as student is likely to trust the teacher, depict more cooperation in learning and behave well in class and become successful academically.
