There are various effective communication skills between the social workers and clients which assist in acquiring important information leading to growth and development. For instance, listening skills are important considering that most of the practitioners get involved in numerous interviews which need face to face communication. It may be improved by ensuring that an individual does not multitask, as well as, paying attention to the social worker's reactions in case the client speaks. 

On the other hand, there are ineffective communication skills that lead to adverse effects and numerous challenges in the workplace. For example, interrupting the individual speaking may lead to loss of information considering that the other party may be offended. Additionally, lack of clarity leads to ineffectiveness during communication since it distracts the listener and makes the speaker to seem unclear and doubtful. However, such challenges may be avoided by effective preparation in advance to ensure that the speaker is confident.

Diverse cultural perspectives may limit the ability of social workers to communicate with various individuals from different backgrounds due to the language barrier. Also, it leads to creativity and innovation in case the social workers from diverse cultural backgrounds work collaboratively at the workplace to meet the set goals. Gender inequality issues should be solved to ensure that all individuals are entitled to equal opportunities without any discrimination. Regular training sessions should be offered to the workers to ensure that they are conversant with the required skills. 

The communication network in the agency is centralized which leads to positive outcomes which meet the needs of the organization. For instance, there is minimal internal conflict; the workers' roles are well –defined by the leaders and the decisions made are executed without any delays.
