The essence of learning lies in gaining something, evident after reading chapter three. Before I interacted with Charles Kiefer and Malcolm Constable’s ”The Art of Insight,” my previous knowledge of insight was that it was a process. As a process, I understood that insight listening requires step-by-step activities to be ultimately achieved. However, this previous knowledge has now been redefined as I have come to learn that insight listening is more of a state of one’s mind than a process, which makes it an art. Kiefer and Constable say, “Insights are specific types of thought (p. 20). I have now come to learn that, as an art, insights commonly occur during individual conversations, within small groups, or even within an individual’s heads whenever they talk to themselves. It thus requires one to be keen and mentally settled to get insights during conversations or intrinsic communication to oneself.
In listening with nothing in my mind, I intend to engage my friend James to play the role of the speaker while I play the listener. Before the exercise begins, we shall define the aim of the practice exercise and also the nature of an insight state of mind. In so doing, we shall be able to notice the attainment of the state when it arrives. In fresh thought hunt, I intend to engage my partner Jackson. In this exercise, I plan to engage Jackson in generating as many thoughts as possible as we train to distinguish new ideas from existing ones as well as the feeling that accompanies new thoughts such that we shall both be aware of them when they arise.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
In step 4, I purpose to meet Jenifer in the coaching for fresh thoughts and insights exercise. With Jenifer as the speaker, I intend to coach her in generating fresh thoughts on her topic of interest. Taking turns, each of us will coach one another on techniques employable to enable one to create as many fresh ideas in diverse topics of interest as possible. Finally, in step 5, I purpose to engage Stephanie and Janitrix in the insight trio exercise. Alternating, we shall pair up in coaching the third individual to develop insights based on their chosen topic.
