Future Christmas by Jennifer Leitham Trio
Future Christmas was a song performed by Leitham Trio and composed by Jennifer Leitham. The piece was so powerful, and a lot of jazz elements were filled in there. Its style was a little bit groovy with a lot of percussions, wobbly bass and repetition of riffs by Langham, the pianist. The tempo was a little bit fast supposing it was danceable for the audience. The composers had given it the eighth swing notes to make it groovy. Jennifer Leitham was the soloist, and she was also playing the bass. Her vocals transformed the entire performance as most people sung to her popular songs.
Effective tools used
Improvisation was highly used in the performance especially in works that were involved with other musicians. Therefore, Drake and Langham had to improvise to fit with certain Leitham’s songs. Percussions were very monumental in the performance as they gave it a groovy feeling which kept the audience mesmerized and spell-bound. Langham also repeated a lot of riffs in the piano especially to “Future Christmas” to make the song more memorable in the minds of the audience.
