The primary intent for my interest in Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is because of its excellent academic performance that has made it to be ranked among the top colleges in America. I have always desired to excel in the field of engineering and Rensselaer institute has all I want to fulfill my goal. I desire to pursue mechanical engineering and gain the knowledge and skills to be an expert in one of the world’s chemical plants. In the 2020 rankings the institute was ranked as number 41 best school of engineering and this is the reason I want to be among the students who will perform better and put the school in the best rank. The institute has a great ambience which allows students to have a conducive environment for their studies. Its great application of technology in research draws my interest because of my desire to explore more in the field of engineering by establishing what other engineers have done.
I am also a good theatre and art person and would like to join the schools extra curriculum activities. Rensselaer grooms talent and apart from enabling students to perform excellent it also allows them to explore their talents. It also has a great intercultural community that allows students from different part of the nation and the world to exchange valuable information. Pursuing an engineering course in the institute will not only help me get a certificate but also put me in the world map because of the great reputation that the school has created over the years.
