Besides the fact that it was a GE requirement, I choose to take geography rather than other subjects because acquiring knowledge in geography will help me gain understanding on places around the world. Studying geography will help me fathom global interdependence and help me become a good global citizen. This will help me understand other people in different places and the limitations in different parts of the world ( Jacaranda, 2016) . Geography will help me appreciate the Earth as the home of humankind and take part in managing the Earth's resources responsibly. Studying geography will help me understand society's organization that is why towns and cities are situated where they are, why some places are less populated, and why some towns have flourished compared to others.
Geography in the US was enjoyable. We learned different aspects of the US, how it came to be that is the regional and county boundaries, and the US's economic activities and the climatic conditions that favored the economic activities in specific places. Geography helps students understand the climatic change and the seasons in the US. Through geography, I have been able to learn more about other countries across the world. The Mississippi River is the source of drinking water for millions of people; it is used for transportation, and most agricultural practices in the US use water from the river (Short, 2016) . Through geography, I have learned about the Mississippi River and how it has helped the US's economy.

Before taking this course, my personal experience with geography was looking up into tremendous and attractive sceneries across the world and getting intrigued by how nature is beautiful. While growing up, I always hoped I would get a chance to visit Iceland and Switzerland, in which there are several tourist attractions. I wanted to travel the world and learn about different cultures, history, and the diversity of other people worldwide. I would like to visit Plitvice lake national park in Croatia soon. This is the most visited tourist attraction site in Croatia. It is a beautiful site with waterfalls, lakes, and caves. The park has a forest that is the home for bears, various rare bird species, and wolves. The water flows over limestone and chalk.
I would like to know more about hurricanes. Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama, South Carolina, Texas, and North Carolina are prone to hurricanes in the US. Hurricanes are one of the significant storms associated with strong winds and heavy rainfall, resulting in rip currents, tornadoes, and inland flooding. The increased hurricanes result from climate change due to unfavorable human activities leading to the warming up of the ocean waters of the tropics (Persing, & Montgomery, 2003) . Hurricanes are destructive, and they lead to deaths and property damage. I would like to learn more about hurricanes and acquire knowledge on what can be done to reduce hurricanes because it is one of the major natural disasters.
I would like to recommend that other students take this geography course because they will be able to learn more about the world through geography. They will be able to understand why different continents have different experiences, different climates, and different seasons. They will understand how the continents came into existence. Geography will give students a better understanding of why things are the way they are and even predict what will happen soon (Piróg, 2018) . They will learn about the different causes of climate change and know what should be done to reduce climate change and global warming.
So far, my favorite idea to learn in this course is plate tectonics, volcanoes, and the composition of the Earth's crust. I want to learn more about how the tectonic plates function and how their movements affect the Earth, and the predictions of what might happen in the future. I would like to study how the Volcanic mountains came into existence and visit several mountains worldwide. I want to explore more on the Earth's crust, its composition and all the activities that are taking place in the Earth's crust, and how some of these activities could affect the Earth.
