I have always been a lover of soccer from a younger age. I would wake up early and attend practice with older players, especially during the holidays when I was five. Playing soccer has given me memories, many of which are unforgettable events mostly good, but some were bad memories. Soccer is a good sport and brings people together, especially those that love the game. When I was 14 years, I joined a soccer team at my school in San Francisco, where I played as a striker. Securing this position was prestigious as most of my friends did not get a chance to play for the first team of the school. We would attend many matches' mostly friendly fixtures with nearby schools. My coach had a lot of faith in me and wanted me on the field on all events.

However, on this particular day, there was bad weather which meant that the field would be slippery. It was a rainy day, and most of the area was muddy, which made it hard to run around or make meaningful moves. While playing, one of the players for the other team knocked me over while tackling me. Since I fell on my arm, my left arm was hurt, leading to a dislocation on the left shoulder. The match had to stop for a few minutes for the emergency team to attend to me. I was rushed to San Francisco hospital for treatment where I was given painkillers after being bandaged up.

My First Day on The Bench

As a good player, my desire has always been to play on all matches for my team. Currently, I play for San Francisco stars which are under 20-team that is well known in the state. Previously I was playing for my school team under my ex-coach Mr. Thomas Jones, who is now on the board of the soccer association of young players. On all matches, he would make sure that I was in the field playing to ensure that I get a pleasant experience. This faith in me was important as I was able to gain confidence in the area. One of the most unforgettable matches is my first time on the bench. Having been my ex-coach's best player, I had never been on the counter before. Additionally, being in the first team meant that I had to be in all major soccer matches that we were playing. On the 5th of December, I was put on the bench. This occurrence was because I was still recuperating from my injury.

I got the injury after a tackle on the field a match that we played in bad weather. The injury was on my left shoulder, which meant I could not play until my shoulder was back to a healthy state. The joint took very long to heal and almost took two months for the doctor to allow me to do arduous duties. Therefore on this particular match, I sat and watched my teammates playing. Luckily, we won the game as my teammates had trained well for the game. However, being on the bench was a different experience.

My First Soccer Medal

Winning an award or a trophy is always the dream of every player in soccer or any person who has a talent in any field. Being a good player in soccer, I have ever hoped that I will get an award for my skill. Additionally, due to my passion for the gamer, I have always been keen on making myself better in the field in the hope that I will be good enough for proper recognition. I got my first medal two years ago at the age of 16 years. This one is a tender age and one that was most prolific in my experience as a player. I was new in my under 20s team and was still fresh in professional soccer. Having played for my school for a long time, I was already aware that I have a useful skill. However, I was not aware of other things such as that I could earn money or other privileges from the sport.

On the 4th of August 2015, we were to play with a team from New York. This team of younger players was well known for having been in crucial events for a long time. The match was the last one in the season and would determine the champions in the super youngster's event. The weather was right on this day, and that was one of the reasons we were happy as a team because we were not used to playing in bad weather while our opponents had a good experience with bad weather.

We lost the game none the less as the opponents managed to score four goals against us. This win meant the New York stars were now the champions being 10 points ahead of us. Despite the loss, this was a good event for us to learn. When the time for awarding came, we all were not expecting any away being the first runner up team. However, we were shocked to hear that the award for the player of the season would go to our team, the San Francisco stars. Shockingly, I was named the player of the season. I have never been so happy, and as I went forward to get the medal my ex-coach, Mr. Thomas ran towards me and held my hand. This one was the happiest day of my soccer experience.
