The writer in this article was attempting to educate nurses and other medical practitioners in ways of controlling sepsis while at work. As a result, he wrote the article with various guidelines towards achieving control of infections among patients through medical procedures done by health care providers.
The article is educative as it addresses multiple ways of preventing infections. Therefore, it has taught me the essence of regular hand washing ( Dean 2019). The article provides that washing hands after arriving in the hospital is critical; additionally; it mentioned that gloving while doing any procedure to the patient is required. It also addressed on proper waste disposal and segregation, use of sterilized equipment on patients among other imminent measures ( Dean 2019). After going through the article, I did not have any questions apart from asking on the practicality and commitment of the help care providers on these measures since some of the health care workers seem not to be careful. The article also raises a question of how practical it is to implement these practices as some are expensive and small hospitals, especially those that are in poor and developing countries may not be able to implement.
