The Oklahoma Performance has garnered fame due to its rekindling of the old American 1943 musical that warmed the hearts of many. This essay, therefore, aims at examining the music, how the musicians sound and identifying their roles in the concert. Based on the rich history of Oklahoma music, listeners are bound to experience a wide range of emotions; some depicted by the characters and others experienced through the resonance of the melodies to their personal experiences. The first performance by Dammon Daunno exudes what some may describe as sexual energy as he sings of tranquility in a wobbly voice thus depicting his lack of confidence (Oklahoma, n.d). Moreover, a general overview of the performance reveals a significant change from prior performances as they are currently in synch with Broadway size.

The music further offers an infectious exuberance to its audience; a metaphorical approach towards suggesting that such energy can be channeled in different ways depending on the intentions of the performers. Similarly, another notable change observed from the concert as compared to others is the involvement of the dream ballet with a new variation and pace. The role of the only dancer, Gabrielle Hamilton, involves exuding the similar effects intended by the original choreographer. The audience finds that she is both stimulating and frightening; following her gallops, slithers and crawls across the stage. While this act is different from the original, Ms Hamilton ensures to achieve a similar effect intended by Agnes de Mille. Moreover, the performers sound different as compared to other musicals based on each character's unique embodiment of the original; a fact that enhances the current musical's overall performance.
