Music is known to be a powerful tool that people can make use of and communicate in many ways. Songs are also grouped into different genres just like books and movies. For instance, these genres may include instrumental, rock, blues, soul and country music. These genres usually speak to so many kinds of people in ways that they can understand and feel the soothing effect of music. Songs have therefore helped me much and made such a significant impact in my life. I like listening to songs because they soothe, comfort and advise me in so many situations in my life.

Some people also argue that it is easy to tell the personality of a person through the type of music they listen to. I agree with this because each music genre has its message that it conveys and in a way, this shapes a person's character and personality. Therefore, I would like to share my favorite song and state how it has been of help in my life, why I love it and how it defines my personality.

The title of the song is Queen, and it is sung by Jessie J. The song is basically about how women should appreciate their beauty no matter how they look like and ensure that they consider themselves as queens. Jessie also encourages women to feel good about their body, look into the mirror and always admire themselves because they are beautifully made. She also says (Jessie, 2018) "It can't be healed with something materialistic, cant healed by a man who stays distant." By this, she means that every woman should concentrate more on their inside because it can never scare the outside.

The artist, therefore, passes messages to all people across the world to always appreciate themselves and feel motivated every time they look at themselves. Also, she gives a message that it is not right to concentrate on what people say about someone because they do not matter in the end at all. This shows that a person should ignore the negative comments that can be made about their body and only work on the positive ones which are more encouraging.

Jessie also uses the song to communicate to the audience that beauty cannot be defined by what people perceive. This means that every individual is beautiful in their body to construct and hence they should never stress themselves trying to impress the outside world at all. She says "Stop chasing all the hype, my girl, stop trying to change who you are, stop cutting yourself up on the outside" (Jessie, 2018). These lyrics mean that Jessie is telling her audience (women) to appreciate themselves the way they are and not to follow the American hype of what being beautiful is defined. It also encourages all women out there to only live their lives comfortably in their bodies.

The lyrics of the song pair with the song as Jessie uses an up-tempo to make women feel appreciated instead of a tone that would make them feel like it is wrong in the way they look. Also, she uses an upbeat tone which is quite influential in the words that are conveyed. Hence, these tones help women to sing along to the song with so much content that they are merely beautiful no matter how the world sees them.

The song also creates a happy mood throughout since Jessie uses positive wording which is a way of encouraging women and making them feel comfortable and satisfied with their body. The melody is, therefore, both upbeat and smooth in that the lyrics can be heard and one can sing it easily. Jessie uses this tone to ensure that her message is clear to the world. Her primary instrument in the song is drum beats which bring out the words clearly, and hence this brings the message to light. In this case, the main issue or instead signal is brought out clearly, and the artist also makes the song appear both as a song and a poem. This is through the way her lyrics are written as well as portrayed.

Also, the song as an element of rhyme scheme as the chorus mainly is meant to rhyme uniformly, and this brings in a rhythm which is easy to connect to. For instance, "I love my body, I love my skin" is useful in emphasizing on the "I love" part which makes the targeted audience to quickly grasp the central message of the song (Jessie, 2018). As one sings through the chorus, they can soon learn that the keywords are love and hence all they need to do is to love their bodies.

In conclusion, Queen by Jessie J is a song that is soothing to my soul because it has helped me learn so much about the beauty of women. As I listen to it, it helps me appreciate myself more and love myself just the way I was created. The song also empowers me to learn that beauty is quite diverse, and hence there is no such thing as a definition of beauty. Through the song, I also gain encouragement to always focus on the positive aspects of my life and do away with the negative ones.
