I view teaching as a profession that calls for integrity among the tutors. I believe that teachers should demonstrate that they are individuals that are of strong moral character to make mature decisions both for themselves and the students they teach. Teachers are fully responsible for the safety, well-being and education of those under them. Teachers should be able to serve as representatives of the institution and demonstrate a personal and professional disposition to the teaching profession. The teacher should portray diverse skills in leadership and management throughout the process of teaching and managing the classroom. I believe that the teacher is responsible for creating a proper atmosphere in the classroom through promoting equality, showing empathy, and enhancing proper communication.
My self-assessment promotes the professional disposition assessment as it aligns with the values promoted in the professional disposition criteria. The professional disposition assessment is about understanding the needs of the students such as students learn in different ways, all students can learn, and involving all students in learning. The self-assessment promotes the responsibility of the educator is plays a big role in managing the classroom environment and propelling the growth of the student (Dottin, 2009).

The course has helped me grow in my professional dispositions as it has enabled me grow my life as a professional. The course has enabled to analyze my dispositions and how it is affecting not just as an individual, but my professional behavior and contribution to the organization as a whole. Prior to the course, I did not assess my emotions systematically. The tools and lessons given such as that of emotional intelligence has enabled me assess my emotions better and enabled me grow professionally.
One major issue that needs improvement is in the ethical disposition. The ethical disposition is a diverse subject and should be explained better by the use of several examples. Apart from that, the course has changed my life for the better and I can see myself now as a full professional.
