In the article "Computer-based versus in-person interventions for preventing and reducing stress in workers" by Kuster, Anootnara Talkul, et al, the authiors compare two techniques of stress prevention and reduction among employees. It is evident that stress among employees can lead to devastating effects on the company, which are majorly negative, linked to reduced production and profitability, hence the need for an intervention in ensuring that a firm attain achieves stress free-workforce. Among the techniques used were computer-based intervention, whereby the participants get to read materials, watch videos and lectures through their computers or phones, and the other one involving face-to-face seminars done by facilitators (Kuster, 2017). Although the results had a thin difference, the computer-based intervention was ruled to be affordable, convenient and more accessible as compared to face-to-face. However slight outcome achieved, the computer-based intervention was slightly more effective than the face-to-face intervention.
Finally, my question is, can we find a system that assists people to record zero stress?
Response to colleagues' posts
One of my colleague's post focused on mindfulness meditation as a way of managing stress. Through this intervention, I tend to concur with them that it is also an effective way of reducing stress through meditating the good things ever happened and shifting one's attention from the stress causing agents .in meditation, once a person closes their eyes, their memory is said to be better than when the eyes are open thus, enabling them to shift attention completely to something that they found pleasing and relieving. Another of my colleague's post focused on reading interesting stories as a measure of combating stress. This is also a sure way of diverting one's attention, as they focus on the content of the novel, magazine of other interesting reading material. The shifting attention is also a sure way of preventing and reducing stress among workers and students fraternity.
