Other than that, rituals are also done as a means of propitiation. There are situations where people think that they have acted in contrary to what is needed from them by their deities. In this case, they come to try and impress them or ask for a favor from them so that they mend their ways to look good in front of their god. In such a case, rituals act as the path which they follow to achieve such desires.

This religion had a critical influence on other religion such as Christianity and Judaism. It introduced many terms and beliefs such as messianism, the judgment after death, and heaven. It also introduces the different concept that came to dominate such religion such as the concept of Hell and free will. In the current Christianity and Judaism, such concept marks the cornerstone of the faith.
