It is usually a belief that prayers connect people to God. For different religious people, prayers are what brings them closer and make them communicate to their God. It is through prayers that people try to appease their God by adoring Him. Sacrifices and rituals are also means through which different groups of people find ways of connecting to various deities they worship. Sacrifice, in this case, is an act appeases or communicated the God. Sacrifice is a process where people come to confess their sins or ask their gods favors on behalf of different people, themselves or society. For those people who values sacrifices, it provide them a path for attainments. Attornments, in this case, are the act of reconciling between the average human being with the supernatural human being. Sacrifice is offered during different rituals. They come in various forms, for instance, there can be animal sacrifices, and there can be durable products or even money. Sacrifices, in this case, must be valuable products to symbolize the honor people who honor such goddess gives the deity. Rituals on the other side are like a path one has to follow to meet their god. Rituals are events organize in particular and religious manner so that people can express their feeling to their gods. 

Rituals like sacrifices also have a lot of roles between the people and their deities. First, they are done as a form of expiation. This is a situation where people humble themselves before their gods to amend their wrongdoings. At this point, such people may want to express their guilt doing and on the process make sacrifices to appease their deities to amend their wrongdoings. Other than that, rituals are also done as a means of propitiation. There are situations where people think that they have acted in contrary to what is needed from them by their deities. In this case, they come to try and impress them or ask for a favor from them so that they mend their ways to look good in front of their god. In such a case, rituals act as the path which they follow to achieve such desires.

Dualism is a concept that is critical in both the religion and the philosophical field. In philosophy, the idea of duality means the existence of two features in ones. It is mostly associated with the spiritual and the mind or the matters as they exist separately. It means tangible and intangible human being that aid in decision making. In religion, dualism is about the existence of two opposing sides that control the world. There have been numerous debates in the field of religion concerning the presence of God and Evil. There are many arguments concerning the most potent side. However, what seems to be the agreements are that the two sides do exist and have a powerful influence on earth. 

Zoroastrian religion, for instance, had a belief in dualism. This was a religion that had a monotheistic view. However, it was centered on the dualism cosmology. The monotheistic view is a belief in a single creator. The cosmological dualism is where there is a belief in the existence of good and evil. This religion had a critical influence on other religion such as Christianity and Judaism. It introduced many terms and beliefs such as messianism, the judgment after death, and heaven. It also introduces the different concept that came to dominate such religion such as the concept of Hell and free will. In the current Christianity and Judaism, such concept marks the cornerstone of the faith.
