Time has nearly everything common with money. The similarity between money and time is that time can be wasted, spent and saved just like money with an exception that we cannot earn any more of it ( Gu & Niemegeers, 2009) . When it comes to stress management, one would be required to ensure that he/she applies certain techniques or strategies in his/her personal life to mitigate and control stressful situations. This paper thus will seek to discuss some of the personal strategies that one will use for improved time and stress management.

Keeping daily stress journal is one of the important personal strategies that I will embrace in dealing with stress and time management ( Barlow, 2007) . The strategy will help me to identify how much stress I am under and the ways to reduce them in my personal life. In order to succeed with this strategy, it will force me to take some few minutes on daily basis to describe the events that cause me to become stressful and any emotion or physical responses. Over time, I will be able to identify patterns which will help me to develop healthy management strategies.

Another important strategy that will help me to improve time and manage stress is through delegation of responsibilities ( Chapman & Rupured, 2014) . Delegation is one of the effective skills that every manager requires. As a stress manager, I will ensure that whenever I have too much stressful work, I will delegate my duties to other people like friends, relatives and family members. It is important because it saves time and reduces fatigue.

Lastly, I will ensure that I avoid “time stealers”. Some of the time stealers include crisis management, attempting too much, procrastinations, unexpected visitors and telephone interruptions ( Gu & Niemegeers, 2009) . Time stealers are the major cause of stress to many individuals especially to those who are disorganized ( Chapman & Rupured, 2014) . Identifying them will help me work on a plan to lessen their impact on my productivity and efficiency.

Survey: Refers to a particular general view; an examination. Other terms that can be used to refer to survey includes the prospect or to inspect. Stress: State of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances. Strategy: The act of using similar techniques in management.
