A stress reduction plan is a combination of strategies that an individual can apply to control or maintain low-stress levels. The primary question is; how well can I deal with stress? After going through the stress test, it was a bit challenging since the score indicated was 172 which shows a probable health breakdown in two years' time ( Marksberry, 2017) . My score falls under the category of 150 to 300 points meaning the chance of contracting a stress related disorder is 50%. I have had some stressors contributing to the high score on the scale. The most contributing factor is the death of a close family member that has 63 points followed by major personal illness with 53 points. Both stressors have been a barrier towards achieving life goals.
Changing to a different line of work has also affected my output and attitude towards people hence increasing the stress levels. The stressor has 36 points as per the scale measurements. Changing the line of work also resulted in changes in residence. New environmental conditions as well as living with strangers has also added 20 points for the total score. These stressors have an impact in my life compared to how I was used to living before. Therefore, the biggest challenge is to implement a plan that will reduce the score below 150. That shall help me live according to the standard levels of stress as advised by experts in the field of psychology.

A stress reduction plan does not necessarily require a specific order of events so as to be implemented. Instead, it involves engaging in activities and lessons that can help relieve stress easily. An occupied mind is less prone to stress while an idle mind will always lead to stressful moments. Less sleep may lead to accidents on the road as well as generating heart problems. In conjunction with proper resting, I will be subjected to healthy eating. Eating well is ensuring that no meals are missed, and fluids are taken in plenty. That shall help in boosting energy levels and lower the risk of getting sick. There is also the advantage of having good moods always. For centuries, hunger has been known for its ability to influence people's attitudes. It contributes to having negative attitudes towards others hence increasing the rate of stress. Therefore staying positive will enable me to bounce back from the stress condition and stay happy.
To improve the current situation, there is need to care for my spirit. Strong spiritual life is more likely to make a person healthier to live long enough. Individuals who are busy involved in spiritual matters tend to have low-stress levels hence reducing the chance of having health disorders. Being spiritual will also give me an opportunity to meet and help the needy. That shall help me have the sense of being a claimer which will boost my self-esteem. Ultimately, I will seek professional help where I find it challenging to implement my stress reduction plan. Experts in the field of psychology are in a position to advise on the right therapies to take for an individual to control stress.
An excellent reduction plan is associated with some qualities that prove its effectiveness to reduce stress. To begin with, I will make the plan more precise by the help of schedule of when and what to at a particular time. The plan should also be measurable to the when the end goal has been achieved. I will ensure that stress reduction plan is action-oriented to whatever I choose to do. Knowledge gathered from experts shall help me become realistic and use every available resource to make it a success. Finally, I will have a time-bound for my plan to help me remain focused all the time.
The secret behind having a successful plan is writing down the objectives and accomplishments of the task plan. It is also good to avoid being a boredom. That can be made possible by interacting with neighbors and relatives frequently. Being a kind person to others and self will make a significant change in reducing stress. To add on that, personally rewarding is a practice that increases motivation to continue doing something. Therefore, it is might be of help in the stress reduction journey. To summarize, the stress reduction plan aims at making a person feel relieved from the heavy load of thoughts. It does so by engaging the mind and body with other activities away from the routine. Being busy does not necessarily mean that stress is omitted. Instead, doing things that create a healthy brain and body is the foundation of having a stress free lifestyle. Stress will always lead to health disorders and depression as a result of early death.
