A terrorist attack on Paris office of the satirical newspaper left dozens of people dead, and Charlie Hebdo was among the dozens of people who died as a result of the attack. According to the police report, the gunmen killed at least ten journalist and two officers before freeing. Although the authorities did not identify the assailants of the attack, Charlie Hebdo had received several threats over the years for its satirization of Islam mainly Prophet Mohammad. On September 2012 Charlie Hebdo found criticism when it published a newspaper with cartoons that portrayed the Prophet naked; this was after an attack on the American consulate in Benghazi.
The journalist lives seem to be at stake; this is because the press freedom is somehow not allowed like when they post something they are seen as stoicism to the religion they are writing against for example when Charlie Hebdo published cartoons portraying Prophet Mohammad he got lots of criticisms especially from the Muslims. Additionally when Charbonnier was in charge in 2011 and the newspaper ran a caricature of the prophet Muhammad on a cover and in jest and named it ‘editor in chief ’ of its next issue; the following day the newspaper’s office got bombed. This shows how the life and freedom of the journalists are at stake, especially from the Muslim groups.

Terrorism is becoming a threat to the peace of a country; today people live in fear as anytime anywhere an attack can occur and claim their lives. People live in fear because they do not know when an attack will happen and something said or done can trigger a terrorist attack. Freedom of speech is no more freedom because one has to watch what he/she says because a single word can draw terrorists attack. The mot worrying thing is that the authorities fail and are not able to get the criminals who commit the crimes thus the criminals walk out freely and keeps on destroying. It is saddening that human beings have become the hunters of their fellow humans without fear or mercy; slaughtering of people happens every day, and this is causing anxiety to people as people are killed innocently.
