The concept of happy accidents and the unexpected chances are applicable to certain experiences in my life. On one occasion, while preparing for exams I was forced by a friend to attend a study group . Luckily, the study questions we covered were reflected in the end of year exams.

In my view, having a prepared mind is a statement integrates the philosophy of the means justifies the end to imply that outcomes majorly depends of applied efforts and that people should be ready to face potential consequences. From a scientific point of view, a prepared mind implies that, despite the challenges, drawbacks , limitation and criticism of any given research , one should not fear to venture into the risky inventory world . In pursuit of such ventures, a prepared mind in the scientific field is a complex concept that incorporates the ability to synthesize prior research findings and obtain extensive knowledge as a prerequisite for the desired success in any given scope

Arguably, a prepared mind is essential in guiding human behaviors to consider adequate preparation as a determinant for the desired success. Intriguingly, the scientific discipline requires a person to aggressive and observant of the developments in their environments. Therefore scientists should be able to learn and reflect on prior failures and the implication for future research if the need arises. Education, job and life experiences provide avenues for acquiring and developing skills such as reasoning, observing, challenging and reflection which ultimately delineate a prepared mind. 

Question 4 

Although the expectation of failure in the scientific world is perceived negatively, the public should be educated on the importance of accommodating such failures. This can be achieved by creating awareness on the concept that failures are essential to the success of scientific inquiries. Redish, Kummerfeld, Morris & Love (2018) indicate that research entails dynamic explorations that are subject to failure. Therefore, with such information, there is hope of changing the public perception of expected failure in research
