The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is tasked with drug classification regarding benefits or harms they may have on the human body. One of the drugs that have been criticized and prohibited for many decades is Marijuana. However, marijuana use has numerous benefits and should be legalized by all states. Marijuana has been identified as a remedy for anxiety and stress relief (Webb & Webb, 2014). Modern society is characterized by numerous uncertainties that impact lives negatively. As such, rates of anxiety and stress among people are on the rise. These uncertainties can effectively be dealt with by marijuana use. Marijuana use also relieves pain among its users.

Furthermore, cannabis use has been proven to ease sleep problems among the people affected. According to Pratt et al. (2019), cases of appetite loss and weight loss among AIDS patients can effectively be mitigated by marijuana use. Pratt et al. (2019) further note that marijuana use relaxes Stiff muscles and muscle spasms among athletes. The numerous benefits that have been associated with marijuana use guarantee it to be legalized. Full legalization of Marijuana in the United States would have more help to people who use it. Therefore, the United States government should persuade all its states to legalize the use of cannabis without limitations among its people.
