The study was not ethical because it did not have informed consent and voluntary participation. An ethical study should not harm the participants, but this particular study caused some nerve distortion through electric shocks (Njue et al. 2018). Individuals who took part in the study were most likely not informed about the impacts of the study; instead, they could have involuntary. 

If I was a participant, I could have looked for a more favorable experiment that did not cause pain to the individuals who voluntarily participated in the experiment Clarkeburn et al). Additionally, I could only experiment with getting consent from the individuals who were willing to be part of the experiment.
