Happiness varies from person to person. Some people are happy doing their jobs, some people are happy taking care of others, and some people are happy when they receive extravagant items. Then there is people like me, I delight in the very simple things that life has to offer. To me happiness is when I do not feel sad, bothered or concerned about anything. That feeling of freedom that one gets from sticking their head out of a moving car is happiness to me. Running through a park without a care in the world makes me happy. Getting completely engrossed in a book or movie also makes me happy. Happiness for me is when life is good, my health is on point and I do things effortlessly with a smile on my face.
I know that I have found happiness when I smile for no reason. When my energy levels are at their peak and I feel that I can take on the world. Those moments when nothing and nobody can bring me down, that to me is happiness. Also, when I am comfortable with myself and what I have to offer. Life is very tumultuous, those points when one has absolute clarity, that is a happy moment. Happiness cannot be the same for everyone, for me, the simple things bring me happiness. A cold glass of water on a hot day makes me happy. Basically, happiness is anything that makes me smile, gives me peace and promotes my wellbeing.

I believe that happiness comes from doing the things that one enjoys. My first step when coaching people would be to try and determine what tasks they enjoy. Upon identifying the preferred tasks, I would make sure that the people get a chance to perform the tasks a lot in order to ascertain whether they truly enjoy them. For those that become uncertain, I will talk to them and based on that I will suggest new tasks.
