The timeline of the feminist movement, one of the status revolt movements has shaped my life by presenting the significance of gender equality and conserving women’s rights. While growing up, society has been clinging on stereotypes dividing certain roles between men and women, with most of the stereotypes considering women as inferior members of society. Nevertheless, the feminist movement shows the accomplishments made by the women’s rights organization and has completely changed my understanding, which had been corrupted by the stereotypes characterizing women in society. Apart from the right to vote that was based on politics, I support gender equality that requires fair treatment of women in society.
The feminist movement’s goals could be achieved more by promoting gender equality in that era. Considering the timeline of the feminist movement, the movements were concerned women’s suffrage that demanded the right to vote, right to divorce under the national organization of women and abortion rights among other petitions. However, the Women’s Equity Action League had a significant platform to create awareness of gender equality that could grant women the right to engage in more activities other than the right to vote. The movements had their claims based on politics. However, the movements could have implemented legislative bills and support them into an act that could in return grant more freedom for women in the ancient societies.

Instead of the strategies employed by the movements to fight for their rights, where most of them resulted in violence, the movements would have consulted influential politicians who would easily help in creating awareness of women's rights. Also, feminist movements are specifically established to conserve women’s rights. As a consequence, educating women on their rights and creating awareness on gender equality would also be fruitful. Also, forming organizations presented in the feminist movement timeline still remains an effective strategy to promote gender equality and conserve women’s rights in society.
