I conduct my online research basing on three basic ideas. Firstly, I explore the idea that I want to research. This is a significant step since it opens avenues to understand what my research topic is. Secondly, I find the background of the information I am researching about. This will guide me in getting the best details. My last step is to locate current research that has enough and updated information. Google scholar is one of the most convenient tools to search information from the internet (Riddle, 2016). I utilize the efficiency of Google scholar and docs in gathering and organizing my research information.
I employ the strategies of content analysis to sieve through and get the right information. This is because much of the information on the internet may look alike but not relevant to my research (Georgetown University Library, 2019). Under this strategy, I become more specific about what I am researching to avoid obtaining false and unsubstantiated information. These strategies are significant in my future as they will aid me in evaluating the best sources from the internet whenever I am doing my research.

Question 2
Citation is critical whenever an individual carries out research. This is because citations give the reader the directions on where do get more information about the research in question. While research information may be found on the internet, it is good to acknowledge the efforts of the original authors to avoid cases of plagiarism (Masic, 2013). Both scholarly and popular sources are vital in conducting research. This is because they help one to obtain information from verified and most considered sources respectively. The evaluation of sources is important in determining the efficiency and the accuracy of information (ASU Library, 2019). The author and their credentials are some of the basic information that a researcher requires before deciding whether to use a certain source or not.
